Charles "Charlie" H. Carlisle's Obituary
CARLISLE, CHARLES “CHARLIE” H. – Born in Ranger, TX, on December 22, 1925, and went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 10, 2012. He was preceded in death by parents J.M. and Jessie Carlisle; brothers Marvin, James, Calvin, Morris, and Roy; and sister Eva. Charlie was a kind man with a true zest for life; a wonderful husband to wife, Ellen; loving father to his sons Marvin, Charles, Jr., and Larry (Wahlberg); and a doting grandfather to Charity, Alex, Burke and Wyatt. His brother Allen and sister Lucy Warren knew and loved him as their big brother and friend. He loved his daughters-in-law Julie Carlisle and Mechele Wahlberg, sisters-in-law Ann and Magi Carlisle, 7 nieces, and 5 nephews, not to mention numerous great-nieces and -nephews and friends around the country. He loved and lived life to the fullest. His passions were golf and flying. Charlie was deeply loved by his family, who will miss him and his infectious laughter. His love for us has taught us not to take love or life for granted. Grandson Burke summed it up when he requested a LiveStrong bracelet “because Papa is in Heaven and now we need to live strong.” “For everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven.” Ecclesiastes 3:1 Visitation from 6-8pm, Monday, August 13, 2012 at Restland. Service at 12:30pm, Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Restland Wildwood Chapel.
