Charles Oneal Holden's Obituary
Charles Oneal “Neal” Holden was born on January 29, 1959, in Dallas, Texas to William Henry “Bill” Holden and Doris Mitten Holden. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by family in Dallas, Texas on December 14, 2022, at the age of 63.
Neal attended Lake Highlands Elementary, Junior High & High School (Richardson ISD), graduating in 1977. He was also a graduate of the North Texas Carpenters Union in 1981 and held a Journeyman Carpenter Certification.
Neal was the President and co-owner of Facility Construction Services, Inc. (FCS), a Dallas-based commercial Drywall & Woodwork subcontractor operating for 75 years and worked with the family business for over 45 years. He was part of numerous projects beginning with Hyatt Hotel/Reunion Tower and continuing through Momentum Tower, Lone Star Park, Southlake Town Center, The Potter’s House Church, W Hotel, Ritz Carlton Hotel and Condominiums, Nasher Sculpture Center, Dallas Country Club, Fidelity, AT&T Stadium, Temple Emanu-El, Kimbell Art Museum and Old Parkland Campus along with many other significant buildings.
Neal was an avid golfer and was a member of Dallas Athletic Club (DAC) for over 20 years. He also enjoyed watching and attending games of the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Stars being a season ticket holder for both the Stars and Cowboys for over two decades.
Neal was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Doris Holden. He is survived by his older brother, Paul and wife Mary Kerr Holden; his younger brother, John Thomas “Tom” Holden and numerous Cousins, Nieces & Nephews.
Services will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023, at 1PM. The services will be at Restland Cemetery outside of the Whispering Waters Mausoleum (south of Restland Road) on 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, Texas 75243. For additional information contact Restland at 972-238-7111.
