Charles Irvin's Obituary
With great sadness, we share that Glenn Charles Irvin, 64, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, following a medical procedure. Charles graduated from J.J. Pearce High School in Richardson in 1978, where he was a clarinet player in the band. He attended Oklahoma Christian University.
Charles was an angel on earth and was widely known for his easy-going nature and his concern for others. At the time of his passing, he was living with and caring for his mother. He was a member of CARE Church of Richardson and had a deep and abiding love for Jesus.
Charles was an avid Dallas-area sports fan and, with his mother, loved watching every sports event he could. He enjoyed volunteering and helping everyone in any way he could, including helping with yard work and volunteering for food banks. He loved to play games and was a great problem-solver and strategizer.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Lynda Frechette, whom he cared for through a lengthy illness until her death, his father, Don Irvin, and his stepfather, Ken Kemp. He is survived by his mother, Carlene Kemp, his sister, Shelley Durbin and her husband James, his stepbrother, Kevin Kemp and his wife Sharon, his aunt, Elaine Black, and his nieces Echo Durbin, Hannah Kemp, and Rose Kemp.
