Charles Beaver Jones' Obituary
Charles “Charley” Beaver Jones was born in Bloomfield, TX to Donald Ray and Lee Ella Jones. He died at Lifecare Hospitals of Plano at the age of 74 from complications related to surgery. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from North Texas State University. He married Frankye Cheatham in 1962, and they raised three daughters. He worked at Dallas City Packing, a job he loved to go to every day because of the wonderful people he worked with. Charley was a member of the Richardson East Church of Christ where he attended for over 50 years. He loved his church family, and he loved the Lord. Charley’s greatest joy in life was his family, and he loved to spend time with them. He talked with his girls daily and took great joy and pride in their accomplishments and the accomplishments of his six grandchildren. At his frequent family get togethers, “Papa” could be found cooking steaks on the grill, driving the boat on Lake Ray Roberts, or telling jokes and stories. He was also an avid sports fan, who loved the Dallas Cowboys and attending sporting events to cheer on his grandkids. Charley will be deeply missed by the following surviving family members: wife of 52 years, Frankye Cheatham Jones of Dallas, TX; daughters, Leslie Rowe and husband, Kurt of Denton, TX, Kristi Weaver and husband, Lyndal of Richardson, TX, and Kelly Jarvis of McKinney, TX; six grandchildren, Lyndsey Weaver, Chase Weaver, Austin Rowe, Kale Rowe, Sydney Jarvis, Ellis Jarvis, and “adopted” grandsons, Eddie Barajas and John Beggs.
