Charles M. Kella III's Obituary
Kella, Charles M. was born on April 20, 1945 in Dallas, Texas and passed away on December 15, 2015 in Denton, Texas. Preceded in death by father; Charles M. Kella Jr., mother; Grace Bucher Kella, and sister; Marsha Kella. Survived by sister and brother-in-law Kathy and Arnie Snover from Tuscan, Arizona, niece Lisa Redding and family from Atlanta, Georgia, nephews; Devon and Mathew, and very special friends in his life were Peggy and Fran, Mitzie, Jim, George, Mike and Brad, and longtime girlfriend Joy. Charles grew up in Dallas. He later moved to Denton and was with the Community Based Program. He worked for Goodwill Industries for 15 years. He loved music and was a member of the Denton Bell Band Choir for 20 plus years. He was a member of the Denton Self Advocates Group and was involved with Special Olympics Bowling, Cycling, and swimming. He acquired many medals of the year. He attended music class at TWU for 10 years with Joe Pinson. He loved Ringling Brother Circus and his friend and advocate Peggy Wheaton took him every years for the last 15 years. He was kind hearted and always concerned about others and how they felt. He never met a stranger. He was a joy and blessing in everyone’s life. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Denton Self Advocates or Denton Handbell Choir. Graveside service will be held on Friday, December 18, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Restland Memorial Park.
