Charles and I shared a love of black licorice. We joked about how we got all the black jelly beans and were glad to have them. I asked if he had ever had Allsorts, a British version of black licorice with cream fillings, coconut wrapping etc. I found some at Walgreens and took him 2 bags at Valentines when I covered a visit for his normal hospice volunteer who was out. Again we were able to get some for him for Christmas, along with some soft drinks for his fridge. We always had great visits, he liked to have his hand held during the visits, visits were always interesting.I will miss him.

Im saddened to hear of my Uncle Charles Lawhon passing. He was an amazing Uncle in my life to have know him for awhile. I remember times where I would go see him at his house in Dallas,was glad to help him organize his home. Just spending time and hearing his stories about the Dallas Cowboys he was proud of was such wonderful moments we shared. I was thankful to God for allowing me to even visit him during his illness time while at Villages on McArthur in Irving,TX. In Loving Memory of Uncle Charles Lawhon.
