I was fortunate to play football for Coach Lyles his first year at RL Turner in Carrollton. He brought a players-first approach to our program. He was an authentic soul and we all knew just how much he cared about us even though he was new to our team. I loved his easy going demeanor, his supportive nature, and he always knew the right thing to say to ignite a fire (or put one out!). I hadn't seen Coach since high school, but I often think of his attitude toward us, his belief in what we could be, and the lifelong lessons I learned playing football. God speed Coach.
