Charles Wallace Measley's Obituary
MEASLEY, CHARLES WALLACE Born December 29, 1928 in Borger, TX and passed away June 14, 2008 after a lengthy illness. He was the son of George and Semi Measley. Charles graduated from Panhandle High School and from The Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas (Texas A&M University), class of 1949. After graduation he began work for Employers Casualty Co, Beaumont, TX where he met his future wife, Pat Irvine, and married August 3, 1951. Charles was called to service in January 1954 and was commanding officer of Food Services during his tour in the Far East. He was discharged in1956 as a Captain and returned to Sun Oil Co and retired in 1988 in Plano, TX, after 37 years. Survived by his wife of 56 years, Pat Measley; two sons, Charles Jr. (Sonny) and his wife Chris and Paul and his wife, Kathy. His 4 grandchildren, Travis (22), Taylor (18), Amber (12) and Brandon (10). He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Plano for 29 years.
