Charles Lewis Pearson Sr., 80, of Rockwall, Texas died October 8, 2017 in Dallas, Texas. He was born November 21, 1936 to Rafe Wesley Pearson and Carlie Van Winkle Pearson in Petrolia, Texas.Charles married Patsy McGhee on March 4, 1977 in Garland, Texas. He was a Corrugator Supervisor for Crown Zellerbach. He was a charter member at Northlake Baptist in Garland, Texas. Charles served in the 49th National Guard.Charles taught bible study for the past 40 years at Northlake. He taught adult Sunday school class for twelve years. He taught the single adult class, and then taught married adults. He was an Ordained Deacon at Northlake. Charles loved watching basketball and for many years attended the UIL State Girls’ Tournament in Austin.Charles is survived by his wife, Pat Pearson of Rockwall, Texas; daughters, Sandi Lee Tarski of Dallas, Texas, Amy Michelle Ochs of Greensboro, North Carolina, Kimberly Ann Long of Terrell, Texas and Lisa Gaye Morris of Forney, Texas; sons, Charles L Pearson Jr. of Tishamingo, Oklahoma and Russell D. Pearson of Rowlett, Texas; his sister, Linda Smithson of Wylie, Texas; fourteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.The visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Northlake Baptist Church, 1501 N. Country Club Drive, Garland, Texas. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Northlake Baptist Church with burial in Restland Memorial Park.
