Chuck was our courier for years and picked up each week for us. Sometimes several times a week. He was like family. I enjoyed seeing pictures of his grandbabies and gg babies and hearing the stories of how they are growing and what they were doing. Chuck told the story of when he drove the tank in the Audie Murphy movie and about his time there. He also told of his time in the service. He was a real hero. He loved his family dearly and especially his son. He was so proud of him and always talked about what he was doing with the baseball team. Chuck met my grandson who was a baseball pitcher and always asked how he was doing. He gave him pointers on how to get better and never forgot his name or what he did.
We will miss Chuck dearly. He was always happy and smiling when he came in. A joy to work with and did a great job for us always. He was only here a few minutes each time, but made a huge impression when he came to pick up a package.
Chuck is smiling down at us now, at peace with his missed loved ones and still thinking about those cute grandbabies. Show them pictures of him and tell them how proud he was of them and how much he loved and talked about them. Family was everything to him.
Many blessings to you and your family. I hope you post the Audie Murphy picture. He said he was really proud of driving that tank in the movie. He would get a kick out of his friends seeing it.
