Charles William Stewart's Obituary
STEWART, Charles William Charles William Stewart, 83, was born in Dallas, TX to Otto Vander Stewart and Elna Beatrice Riddell Stewart on May 21, 1937, and passed away July 1, 2020, in Dallas, TX. Charles married Sally 'Ann' Tanner on July 23, 1960. He was a 1955 graduate of Woodrow Wilson H.S. and attended North Texas State University. His career included Dr. Pepper, Chance-Vought, SP Bush Lumber, Georgia Pacific, Vaughn and Sons Lumber. Charles enjoyed coaching his children's sports, cooking, bird hunting with family, shooting skeet and trap and loved his Golden Retrievers, Riley and Buddy. He was a member of the Keystone Masonic Lodge and North Texas Shooters Assoc. Club where he had many cherished times with a great group of friends and family. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren at family gatherings, holidays and hunts where he was famous for his chili, mashed potatoes, and his trademark goodbye, "Glad You Got To See Me". Charles is preceded in death by his parents and wife of 56 years, Sally Ann Stewart. He is survived by son Scott and wife Jonette, son Greg and wife Lisa, daughter Kelly and husband Henry Miller, III, his brother-in-law Charles Tanner and wife Katherine, his sister-in-law Patty Niemeyer, nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild, many nieces and nephews, cousins Howard Rimmer and Betty Stewart. Visitation will be Monday, July 13, 2020 at 9:00 AM in the Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. A Service will be Monday, July 13, 2020 at 10:00 AM in the Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Memorials in his name may be given to scottishriteforchildren.org or give.spca.org
