Charles “Charley” Vernon Dean, Jr.Birth Date: June 27, 1934Death Date: December 9, 2018 Mr. Charles “Charley” Vernon Dean, Jr. passed away December 9, 2018 at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas at the age of 84. He was born June 27, 1934 in Beaumont, Texas to Charles and Bertha Dean. He served his country in the Army and attended Texas A&M University where he played in the Aggie band and Southern Methodist University where he graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering.He spent his early professional career as an electronics technician and assisted with the invention of microchip while working at Texas Instruments. He finished his career teaching basic electronics courses at Richland College and DeVry University. He loved and served Jesus Christ in many ways including youth leader, Sunday School teacher, street evangelism, mission trips, and fifty-three years of State Fair evangelism.He is survived by his wife LaVonne “Bonnie” Dean; a son James and wife Eleanor; three grandchildren Lauren, Emily, and Andrew; sister Ann Abshier and husband Don; two nieces; and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and infant son Bryan Jeffery.The Memorial Service for Charley Dean will be held at Scofield Memorial Church at 10:00am on Saturday, December 15, 2018.Memorial gifts may be directed to Scofield Church (7730 Abrams Rd, Dallas, TX 75231) or Fair and Rodeo Evangelism (P.O.
