Charles Raymond Walker's Obituary
WALKER, CHARLES RAYMOND born January 2, 1931 in Bryan, Texas and passed away January 27, 2013 in Plano, Texas. Graduated in 1949 from Palestine High School. He attended Henderson County Junior College before enlisting in the Navy. Longtime Managing Partner of Town North Bowling Center in Richardson until the closing in 1985. He was an active volunteer throughout his life with youth coaching, Boy Scouts, civic organizations. Smith County Sheriff’s Department, life member of the PTA. He will be remembered for his quick wit and one liners. Preceded in death by his parents Charles B. Walker and Mamie Powers Walker. Survived by wife of 60 years, Margaret Blount Walker; brother, James B. Walker; children and grandchildren; Boo, Lea, Cory, Megan, Lindsay Walker, Mike, Judy, Michael, Kara, Jonathan Walker, Cheryl, Lance, Charlsie, Brittany, Cheyenne Hearnsberger, Laura, Bobby, Jared, Karron, Jaclyn Pitcock. Family will receive friends on February 1, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be held on February 2, 2013 at 3:30 PM at Restland Wildwood Chapel by Charles W. Harrison. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lewy Body Dimentia Assoc. Inc. at www.LBDA.org.
