Charles Billy Wiley's Obituary
Charles Billy Wiley, born on September 25, 1935, in Decatur, Alabama, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2024. He was the beloved son of Garth George Wiley and Lilly Mae Zills Wiley.
Charles came to Dallas on an assignment from his father to find a new tractor, but instead, he found the love of his life, Mamie Wiley. They shared a beautiful marriage of 64 years, filled with love, laughter, and countless memories.
A man of many talents, Charles was known for his hard work and versatility. He could do a bit of everything—welding, painting, and especially slow dancing. Every Saturday night, Charles could be found dancing to his favorite country music, a tradition that brought joy to his life and those around him.
Charles was a pillar of strength for his family, guiding them through good times and bad. His garden was a testament to his dedication and green thumb, always flourishing under his care. As a professional painter, his work was unmatched, earning him respect and admiration in his community.
Above all, Charles loved his family and the Lord. His faith and love were the cornerstones of his life, and he leaves behind a legacy of devotion and kindness.
Charles is survived by his loving wife, Mamie, and their five children: sons Anthony and Tommy, and daughters Nancy, Pat, and Becky. He was a proud grandfather to Chris, Carrie, Jackson, and Heather, and a cherished great-grandfather to Taylor, Tyler, and Lennon.
Funeral services will be held in the Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home on Saturday, January 4th, at 2 PM, with a visitation an hour prior.
Charles will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
