Charles Robert Woods' Obituary
Charles Robert Woods, born in Ardmore, Oklahoma on October 7, 1920 passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 11, 2017. He was a devoted father and husband and the sweetest patriarch of his family. A long-time deacon of First Baptist Church of Dallas, and a former employee of Braniff International, he was a loved and respected man to all who knew him. He is rejoicing now with his late wife, Ruby, and his precious granddaughter, Meredith. He is survived by his son, Charles “Lindy” Woods, daughter in law, Brenda, along with his grandson Wes and his wife, Katy; and grandson, Carson. Charles’ favorite verse was Psalms 19:14. Visitation will be from 2-4 pm, Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Restland Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held at 3 pm, Monday, March 20, 2017 at Restland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for love gifts to First Baptist Church, Dallas. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
