Charles York's Obituary
Charles Elmer York of Copper Canyon, Texas born June 29th, 1940, in Paris, Texas. The son of Robbie and Elmer York. Mr. York went to be with our lord on December 30th, 2025. Sibling's, Dorothy Newberry deceased, Pat Hollie deceased and Mickey York and wife Beth. Also, by 4 nieces and nephews. Survived by Carolyn Graham York married 63 years they met as high school sweethearts. Their marriage more complete with the arrival of their daughter Amy Nicole York. They enjoyed life and many activities such as girl scouts, dance and raising lambs in FFA. Amy blessed us with two wonderful grandsons Garrett, and Jason. Charles was an active boat man, water sports and RV man. The entire family enjoyed all the lake and RV activities, especially the boys.
Garretts fondest memories are of papa playing and teaching him sports like basketball, football and water sports.
Charles worked for the Borden Company for 35 years.
Jason will always have the remembrance of that Elsie the cow tattoo on his forearm.
Charles was above all a family man. He was deeply loved and was truly loved by them.
He also cared for Carolyn's family, Juanita (Deceased) Jaynene & Greg, Judy and Brenda (Deceased) and also had many nieces and nephews.
For many years all the relatives enjoyed spending holidays and various events in our home which he graciously welcomed all.
I wish him to be remembered as first a good family man that loved his wife Carolyn and daughter Amy and Steve Garrett and Jason and all of his relatives. He will be greatly missed and pray for peace with his soul.
