Charlie "Chuck" Jackson Kinnard's Obituary
Charlie "Chuck" Jackson Kinnard, age 91, passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by family on June 4, 2022.
Chuck was born May 30, 1931 in Pleasant Grove, Texas to Laban and Ethel May Kinnard. He was the youngest (living) of 11 and loved playing music with his older brothers and father. In 1951, he joined the USAF and was a radio technician during the Korean War until being honorably discharged in 1955.
Chuck married Maudie Evelyn Waymire on November 19, 1955 and had two boys, Randy and Perry. Chuck attended the University of Texas after the military , pursuing a degree in electronics. Chuck started working at T. I. in 1959 as a technician. In 1974, he graduated from SMU with a degree in electrical engineering, and began his career as an engineer at T.I. He loved his work and friends at T. I. and was known around the office for his famous sayings or "Chuckism". Chuck was a devout Christian, and a devoted family man. He was at his happiest when he was playing his guitar, working around the fare and spending time with family . Chuck is survived by his two sons, Rand and Perry (Lynda). Grandchildren Charlie, Allison (Houston) and Aaron. Numerous nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and all of his siblings.
Visitation will be held at Restland Memorial Chapel at 1:00 PM, followed by funeral services at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Doctors without Borders and the National Parks and Conservation Association.
