Charlie Faye Miller's Obituary
MILLER, CHARLIE FAYE VAUGHN passed peacefully on to Heaven on Monday, July 21, 2014 at Ashford Hall Care Center. Faye was born April 6, 1921 in Cleburne Texas to Zelda Mae Waddell Vaughn and William Hedley Vaughn. Faye worked as a stenographer and secretary after her graduation from business college. She became secretary to the Vice President of AC/Delco in Dallas and received many awards and letters of commendation for her faithful service. Faye stayed single until 1971 when she met Bill Miller Sr. , a restaurateur from Detroit Michigan . She married Bill in 1972, and Bill moved to Irving to open his restaurant Captain Nemo’s Steak Submarines. Faye was invaluable to the everyday workings of the restaurant. Faye and Bill had no children together, but Faye took on the role of stepmother with grace and love. Her adopted children and grandchildren adored her, as did her husband Bill. Faye’s daughter, Connie and husband, Ron Bantau are blessed to have daughter, Becky Baker (husband Larry) and son, Ronnie Bantau (wife Jill). Faye’s son, Bill D. Miller has children Susan Nussell (husband Mark) and son Dylan. Faye’s daughter Terry Zimmerman (husband George) had one son, George. Faye has great grandchildren, Lauren Brown (husband Jered), Justin Baker (wife Mariah), Cody Baker (wife Jodie), Aria Bantau, Casey Bantau, Connor Bantau, Zach Nussell and Cameron Nussell. Her great-great grandchildren are Noah Brown, Makinzee Brown, Ava Baker, Aspen Baker, and Beau Baker. Faye’s husband Bill preceded her to heaven in 1989. After retirement Faye focused on spoiling her grandchildren. The girls especially liked it when Faye took them shopping! Visitation will be from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 3:0 PM, Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Restland Wildwood Chapel.
