Charlie Clay Vinson Jr's Obituary
Charlie Clay Vinson, Jr., known to all as Clay, passed away peacefully in Richardson, TX on August 6 with his wife of 53 years by his side. Born in Hawley, TX on March 19, 1935, he was predeceased by his parents, his oldest brother and a son, Roger. He is survived by his loving wife Marion, two sisters, two brothers and numerous nieces and nephews.Clay proudly served in the United States Army for 3 years, attaining the rank of sergeant. Having earned a mechanical engineering degree and an MBA, he worked for and retired from Rockwell Collins after many years of service. During retirement, he spent much time playing golf, watching sports and enjoying trips to East Texas.Visitation will be at 1:30 pm on Saturday, August 11 with the funeral service following at 2:30 pm in Restland Memorial Chapel.
