They started a family in 1956 and moved to Mesquite with their two sons Andy and Gary in 1958, with daughter Julie completing the family in 1960. After raising her kids, she earned her BS and MS in Elementary Education and taught kindergarten in Mesquite for 18 years. She and Bob moved from their small house in Mesquite to a larger house in Forney in 1984. Charlotte retired from teaching in 1998.
