Charlotte Williams Almond's Obituary
Almond, Charlotte Williams born June 20, 1921 to Jess and Jo Alice Williams in Ada, Oklahoma and passed away May 2, 2020 in Lubbock, Texas. She was preceded in death by Husband, Roger Almond. Survived by Son, Steven Almond and numerous nieces and nephews. Painting and teaching art were the love of her life. She began her art education with Fernie Parker after moving to Houston, TX in 1958. Her long artistic career was highlighted by taking special classes with many famous artists and belonging to several art associations such as ACA, Richardson Civic Art, D-Art, and Coppini Academy of Fine Art. She exhibited in juried shows and had four one-woman shows including one at the University of Texas at Dallas. She taught art classes for many years in Houston and Dallas, and later in life taught a weekly class at her church, Waterview Church of Christ. A private Graveside will be held and followed by a memorial service at a later date.
