Charlotte Ruth Korba's Obituary
KORBA, CHARLOTTE R. Born October 10, 1925 in Bastrop, LA and passed away June 8, 2008 in Dallas, TX. She grew up in Pineville, LA and later moved to Chicago to study fashion design, where she met Nick Korba. They were married and moved to Dallas in 1950. Charlotte is survived by her husband, Nick Korba; daughter, Valerie Korba and partner, Patrick Helton; sons, Bret Korba and wife, Jennifer; and Mark Korba and wife, Jennifer; grandchildren, Drew and Emily Korba; sister, Louise Hunt and niece, Paula Hunt and husband, Detlef Schuermanns. Charlotte had a great love of God, family, and nature. She was an accomplished artist and homemaker. She brightened our lives with her beauty, wit, charm and gentle spirit. Gone from our lives but never from our hearts, Charlotte will be with us forever. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 PM, Thursday, June 12, 2008 at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, June 13, 2008 at the First Baptist Church, 2400 N. Josey Lane, Carrollton, TX 75006. Graveside service will follow at 2:00 PM in Restland Memorial Park.
