Charlotte Darline Krotz's Obituary
Charlotte Darline Krotz, 86, of Carrollton, Texas passed away at her home on June 20, 2023 while on hospice after a sudden diagnosis of cancer.
Charlotte was born on September 21, 1936 to Frank and Mina (Harmoney) Axtell in Amherst, Nebraska. After Charlotte graduated from Kearney High School in 1954 she worked briefly at a local dry cleaners in Kearney, Nebraska before moving to Dallas, Texas in 1957 to work for Braniff Airlines as a booking before retiring in 1995.
In December of 1960 Charlotte married her childhood sweetheart, Derrald Krotz. Charlotte and Derrald were married for 44 years before his sudden death in December of 2005. Charlotte enjoyed attending her daughter’s ballgames when they were children, going to drive in movies and every time she was able to make a trip to visit her family in Nebraska. Charlotte also loved watching baseball; the Texas Rangers was her favorite team.
Charlotte was a light to her family and now their world is darker without her. She will be deeply missed by family and friends.
Charlotte was predeceased by her parents; Frank and Mina (Harmoney) Axtell, her younger brother; Duane “Butch” Axtell and her husband; Derrald Krotz. She is survived by Vivian Edwards, Raymond Axtell, Waunita DeLaet, Anna Aycock, Donald Axtell and wife Ginger Axtell, Robert “Bob” Axtell, Ruby Kersting and husband Fred Kersting; her daughters; Lynne Krotz, Lisa McCurdy, Laura Hall and husband Carl Hall. Grandchildren; Amber Brand and husband Christopher Brand, Cody McCurdy and wife Chelsea McCurdy, Michelle Phillips and husband Luke Phillips, Mary Hall, Haley Hall and Trey Hall. Great-Grandchildren; Aiden McCurdy and Logan Phillips.
Visitation will be held at Restland Funeral Home on June 30, 2023 at 5:00 PM – 7:30 PM and funeral services will be held at Restland Funeral Home in the Wildwood Chapel on July 1, 2023 at 10:00 AM.
