Charlotte Belle Nicholson's Obituary
NICHOLSON, CHARLOTTE BELLE died peacefully at the age of 93 on February 22, 2015, at Manchester Place residential home in Dallas, TX. Charlotte was born 1922 in D’Lo, MS. She graduated from Central High School, Jackson, MS and Belhaven College, Jackson, MS. She was the loving wife of her predeceased husband, Earl of 60 years, mother of Eric and Thomas Nicholson, and was truly devoted to her grandchildren, Julia Nicholson, Jonathan Nicholson and Rebecca Hennes. She was deeply loved by her daughter inlaw, Dian Nicholson. Charlotte and Earl were long time members of Lovers Lane United Mehtodist Church, before that, Lakewood United Methodist Church. During her life, she was active in many groups including The International Churchill Center, Front Row book club and various neighborhood groups. Charlotte accompanied Earl on his many business trips both domestic and abroad. In later years they traveled extensively for personal enjoyment. Charlotte enjoyed being with people. Her strength came from many close friendships and family members in Mississippi, Florida, North Carolina, Illinois and Oregon. The family will welcome guest Friday, February 27, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church, Dallas, TX in the Shipp Chapel on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 1:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial gifts to the charity of your choice or to Lovers Lane United Methodist Church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
