Charlotte Eileen Squibb's Obituary
Charlotte Eileen Lambert Squibb, known to all as “Charlene”, passed away July 9, 2009. Visitation will be at Restland Funeral Home from 1-3 pm and 6-8 pm on Tuesday, July 14th. Celebration of her life will be held at Lake Highlands United Methodist Church July 15 at 1 pm, with graveside service to follow. Charlene was a long-time resident of Dallas, an avid golfer at Eastern Hills Country Club and first President of the WGA in 1965. She was an elegant and gracious lady, quiet, considerate, encouraging, patient and generous. She she set a good example for all who knew her. Her strong since of independence kept her strong and carried her far. Charlene loved to travel and saw the world. In past years, she was a member of Eastern Star, AARP and Seniors Active in Living. She loved her church, the Gleaners Sunday School Class and the Prayer Breakfast group. Charlene attended many Bible studies and hosted several groups weekly and monthly in her home. She was preceeded in death by her beloved husband, William Thomas Squibb. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Jim, her sister Cindy, her grandson, Tommy, her granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Dee and Bob, her great-granddaughter and great-grandson-in-law Bonnie and Chris, and three great-great-grandsons, Ian, Josh, and Ben, plus many nieces and newphews. Her niece Sue has been her live-in companion for the past seven years.
