Charner MC Morris' Obituary
Charner Mc Morris, born in Sherman, TX on March 13, 1924 to Charner and Pearl Morris, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2015. C.M. was a proud member of the Fighting Aggie Class of 1946. He served in the US Navy in WWII and met and married his wife, Frances Moyer, in New Orleans, LA in 1951. They moved to Dallas shortly after where they raised their three children. He was a Boy Scout Master for Troop 30, during which he led a group of Scouts to the National Jamboree in 1969. C.M. worked for Bayne Minerals until his retirement at the age of 88. He was a master woodworker and created many beautiful treasures for his family and friends. C.M. was preceded in death by his parents, brother Charner C., Jr., and sister Almarie Field. He is survived by his wife, daughter Martha and husband Jerry Huffman, son Tim Morris, son Chris and wife Kathryn, granddaughters Madeleine Harrison, Alexandra Huffman, Maya Morris, and Marley Morris, and great-grandchildren Keegan and Audrey Harrison. The visitation for Charner Morris will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, March 9, 2015 at Restland Funeral Home. The service for Charner Morris will be Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 3:00 PM in The Abbey Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
