Cheryl Ann Bogardus Rachels, 69, of Waxahachie, Texas passed away on Friday, April 24, 2020 in Dallas, Texas of recently diagnosed cancer. She was born on Tuesday, August 15, 1950 to Robert Bogardus and Bette Bogardus-Woolsey in Detroit, Michigan. She married Mark Rachels. She was in the medical field for over 20 years. She loved caring for other people.
Cheryl is survived by her husband, Mark Rachels of Waxahachie, Texas; daughters, Amy Donnelly (Brian) of Mabank, Texas, Kari Kline of Muskego, Wisconsin; brother, Lee Bogardus (Jean); she had 2 nephews, Jason Bogardus, Jessica Bogardus (niece) and Justin and Cara Bogardus; and 5 grandchildren, Emma Otterstrom, Alexandria Dumas, Grant Dumas, Ava Dumas and Annaka Dumas. She also loved her cat Lola very much.
