Cheryl Lorraine Chanslor's Obituary
Cheryl Lorraine Watson Chanslor passed away at her home from natural causes and went to be with her Heavenly Father, February 3, 2021.
Cheryl was born on February 11, 1925 to Paul F and Arva Watson in Fort Worth, Texas, the third of four children (Paul Watson, Jr., Raymond Watson, and Marjorie Schensche) who have all preceded her in death. Cheryl graduated from Paschal High School and then went to work in the secretarial field. Don and Cheryl met at Travis Avenue Baptist Church and fell in love. She and Don married on March 3, 1943 at her parents' home, and a 70 year love story began. After time spent in Pensacola Florida, the young family made Dallas their permanent home where they became active members at First Baptist Church. She now enjoys the beauties of Heaven with her husband, Don Chanslor, and those loved ones that have preceded her.
Cheryl was the beloved nother of her two children Susan Marstaller and Steve Chanslor; the cherished 'Mangie' to four grandchildren and their spouses: Scott Chanslor (Ann Whitney Chanslor), Alison Chanslor Cransac (Benoit Cransac), Chris Chanslor, and Cody Marstaller (Jamie Marstaller); she had four precious great-grandchildren: Grayson Marstaller, Landry Marstaller, Virginia Chanslor, and Isabella Cransac. She will be remembered for her warmth and generosity, elegant style, and forgetting the rolls in the oven.
Due to Covid restrictions, there will be a private service for family.
