Chin J. Chang's Obituary
Chin J. Chang passed away on April 19, 2011. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, physician and friend. Dr. Chang was born December 1, 1940 in Taiwan. He attended medical school in Taiwan and specialized in obstetrics and gynecology. In 1976 he opened his practice in Terrell and over the course of 35 years, he delivered over 3,000 babies and cared for hundreds of patients, many of whom became his friends. Dr. Chang was also very active in the Taiwanese-American community and was very passionate about issues regarding his homeland. Dr. Chang is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Wanda, his beloved daughters, Ellen and Grace, two sons-in-law, four grandchildren, two brothers, five sisters and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 27 at Restland Funeral Home, 9220 Restland Road in Dallas. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Restland. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
