Chloe E. Simpson's Obituary
She was called home to the Lord on September 27, 2009 following a courageous battle against cancer. She was born May 5, 1919 in Slidell, Texas the first child of Ollie Ely and Eunice Wright Ely. On April 9, 1938 she married Jimmie Benton Carter, and together they had two sons settling in Dallas, TX. She later married Giles Henry Simpson in 1974. During her adult life, Chloe worked for and was avery active in the Dallas Baptist Assocation and later also worked for many years for a prominent Dallas Physician. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jimmie Benton Carter, Jr. who passed away in 1953 and Giles Henry Simpson, who passed away in 1986. She is survived by two sons, Jimmie Benton Carter, Jr. and his wife Jeannine and Robert Wesley Carter and his wife Teresa Carter; grandchildren Jimmie Michael Carter and wife Robin; David Benton Carter and wife Joetta; Wendy Carter Bowen and husband Steve; Calvin Dale Carter and wife Emily; and greatgrandchildren, Travis Bowen, Kyndal Carter, Cole Carter, Brooke Carter, Britton Carter, Rebekah Carter and Rylie Carter.
