Christeen Fay Beauchamp's Obituary
CHRISTEEN FAY BEAUCHAMP, age 85, went to her eternal home Monday, September 19, 2022 in McKinney, Texas. She was born August 12, 1935, in Aquilla, Texas, to Willis Kimbrell and Esther Lee Kimbrell Talcott. Her family moved to the Dallas area where she graduated Adamson High School in 1953.
Christeen married Scott Beauchamp on January 15, 1966. They moved to Garland in 1969 where she resided 30 years. She had one son, Bruce Beauchamp. They were members of Good Sams Camping Club and spent as much time as possible camping and hosting. She retired as a Receptionist from Asko International in 1999. Prior to that she co-owned Custom CoverUps. She lived her later years in Princeton where she was a member of Faith Baptist Church. Her favorite hobby was rug hooking.
Christeen was kind and generous. Beloved by her grandchildren, nieces, nephew, and daughter-in-law. She enjoyed good conversation and sharing words of support and advise. She was a tenderhearted Granny that gave warm hugs as much as an education in manners and presentation. She had a strength within that allowed her to overcome many challenges and losses. She would often say about her life “You cannot let the sad things take hold. You have to move forward.” Her faith in God was her guide and she was known to share this love with others. It was this very faith and strength that guided her through the loss of her husband, brother, and only son. When she was challenged with cancer and back injuries, she held strong and maintained her belief that she would not let her hardships take over. Her perseverance was defining and her family is at ease knowing she is reunited with her loved ones.
Christeen is survived by her daughter-in-law Glenda Beauchamp from Princeton; grandchildren, Brian and Camryn Beauchamp of Graham, Jessica and Paul Frushour of Garland, Jennifer Cannon of Dallas, and April and Justin Bledsoe of Van; 13 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; brother Jay and Patty Webb of Uncertain, Tx; sister-in-laws Winona Marschel of Austin, Tx, Wendy Kimbrell of McKinney, Tx; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son Bruce Beauchamp; brother Kenneth Kimbrell; husband Scott Beauchamp; brother-in-law Dan Beauchamp; parents Willis Kimbrell and Esther Talcott; and parent-in-laws Arthur Beauchamp and Agnes Duke.
