Chrystal Lorraine Scott's Obituary
Chrystal Scott rested in the Lord on September 28, 2020. She was born in Dallas, Texas to George Walter Stringer and Willie D. Hines on February 5, 1929. She graduated from Crozier Tech High School. After a year in college, she married her high school sweetheart, Jesse R. Scott, on October 22, 1948. Chrystal and Jesse filled their lives with seven children in Garland. She lived a long life full of love, laughter and music.
Chrystal is predeceased by her parents; her husband, Jesse; her son, Randy; her son, Paul Dean and her daughter, Glenda Audrey Thompson.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Nancy Huntley; her daughter, Elaine Gagnon (Rodney); her daughter, Vicki Scott; her son, Glenn Aubrey Scott (Vicki); son, Walter Blaine Scott; grandchildren: Joseph Albert Gagnon (Jenny), Indra Blackthorne (Temperance), Jessie Lynn Gagnon (Glen), Kara Scott (Charles), Bridgette Giddings (Marquis), Chaz Thompson and Amanda Thompson; seven great grandchildren; seven step great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and many cousins.
She loved her extended family at the Senior Recreation Center in Garland filled with many friends and good times. She cherished her time worshipping the Lord at First Baptist Church of Garland.
The family would like to give special thanks to her caregiver Evelyn, who would sing gospel songs with her and to Bonnie for her bingo on Saturdays and many caring visits during the week.
