Chui Lin Mak's Obituary
Chui Lin Mak, age 70, of Dallas, TX, passed away on July 1, 2019. She was born on September 5, 1948 in China. Chui Lin is survived by her husband, Wing Keung Mak; daughter, Sylvia Bao; grandchildren, Jolene Bao and Jadon Bao; son-in-law, Jerry Bao; siblings, Sing Fong Pang, Wai Lin (Daisy) Wong, Wai Ming Ma, and Sing Kui Pang. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cham Lum Pang and So King Pang, as well as by her sibling, Shing Yip Pang.Chui Lin was a strong, selfless, and kind woman whose focus was always on taking care of others. She was a teacher in Hong Kong for 4 years, where many say that she made a big impact on the students that she taught. After that, she was in accounting until she and her husband, Wing, decided to start a family.They moved to the United States, and as first-generation immigrants, she and her husband worked hard and made many sacrifices to provide a comfortable home for their family. While Wing worked long hours, Chui Lin made wonderful childhood memories with her daughter, Sylvia, who never wanted for anything.As a grandmother, Chui Lin embraced her grandchildren, Jolene and Jadon, with the same nurturing care that she had with her daughter. Their days were filled with doing arts and crafts, singing Chinese songs, making Play Doh fruits, reading, baking, and just being silly.Chui Lin enjoyed eating out at restaurants and trying new foods with her family, as well as going shopping. She usually ended up buying more for others than she did for herself. She looked forward to vacations with her family, and loved participating in gatherings with her siblings and their children.She will be greatly missed.Visitation will be held on Friday, July 12, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Restland Funeral Home.
