Claire Serrano Hawkins' Obituary
HAWKINS, CLAIRE (SERRANO) Claire passed away peacefully on Friday, October 8, 2010. She was born in San Francisco, California on May 16, 1919. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold “Bud” Hawkins, and by her daughter, Donna Ross. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Terry Hurlbut of Plano, Texas and daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Mike Mathews of Los Gatos, California; grandchildren and their spouses, Lisa and Tim Dula of Plano, Texas, and Greg and Stephie Luyt of Traverse City, Missouri; and five great-grandchildren. She spent most of her life in the Bay Area and then lived for several years each in Ukiah, CA, Charlottesville, Virginia, and Plano, Texas. The family would like to express special thanks to Lisa White, Dreamer Genwright, Pam Farris, Barbara Drayton, and Michelle Dilworth for the very loving and tender care they gave her in the last years of her life. And the family would be honored by any donations made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association.
