Clara Belle Boyd's Obituary
Clara Belle Boyd, 91, left this world for the better one on January 16, 2022. Born in Old Glory, Texas on July 23, 1930, Clara, a child of the Depression and WWII, was a shinning example of the "Greatest Generation". Her drive and determination allowed her to build a home, work through her 91st birthday, and become the maternal rock of the Boyd Family, She raised 2 sons, Mark E. Boyd of Frisco, and Joe W. Boyd of Dallas and provided care and guidance to 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. In fact. Clara was known as "Grand" by all her children.
Clara enjoyed people and was always excited to see the world with her traveling companions as they went on sea voyages, train trips, and island hoping flights. Always competitive, she loved to play cards with friends at the Garland Senior Center, where she worked mornings as the front desk receptionist. She will be remembered by all for her love of family, her large number of "Best Friends" and her fondness for very colorful clothes. As one of her friends stated "She was a lovely Lady."
The memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 10:00am in the Wildwood Chapel - located within Restland Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75243
