Clarence Hiatt (C.H.) Clouse's Obituary
Clouse, Clarence Hiatt (C.H.), beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away at his home on June 8, 2022, with his wife, children, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren by his side. C.H. was born in Ferris, Texas on March 1, 1932 to parents Mildred and Clarence Clouse. He married his high school sweetheart Betty Sue Moore on January 22, 1952 with whom he lovingly raised two children, Karen and Jimmy. C.H. graduated from Sunset High School in 1951 and the following day he enlisted in the US Marine Corps. He served in the Marine Corps from 1951-1954. C.H. took advantage of the GI Bill and graduated from Arlington State College with an Associate Degree, then attended SMU until he decided to open his own business, Howmark Vending Company, which he sold in 1976. A few years later, he opened Universal Automotive, which he sold in 1996. C. H. loved Jesus his Lord and Savior. He loved his family, his work, hunting and fishing. Later in life, C.H. especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren as they performed in sports and musicals. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Betty Sue Clouse; daughter, Karen Kirlin; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy Clouse and Joyce-Marie Garay; grandsons, Steven Kirlin and wife Melody Kirlin, and Hayden Clouse; granddaughter, Melissa Harris and husband Jonathan Harris; and a bonus granddaughter, Sara Brown and husband Darrell Brown; great-grandchildren, Bella Kirlin, Olivia Kirlin, Annalee Kirlin, Jonas Harris, Carson Higgs, Wesley Higgs, Jude Harris, Easton Harris; and bonus great-grandchildren, Dylan Brown and Ashleigh Brown; sisters, Gloria Miller and Marilyn Croner; numerous nieces, nephews and many other loved ones. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Warshaw and her husband Morris Warshaw; his father, Clarence Clouse; his brothers, Harland Clouse and Duane Clouse.
The memorial service will be held at Wildwood Chapel, Restland Memorial Cemetery, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243 at 2:00pm on Monday, June 20th. Burial will follow at Restland Memorial Park.
