The generosity and kindness that Ed showed to so many people, my family especially, will never be forgotten. A true gentleman in every sense of the word. Cherish all of the good memories, especially admiring his insight and passion for politics. We had many long dinner conversations at his home in Dallas. I had the pleasure to go grocery shopping many times with Ed on our way home from the store. Even when I was not hungry, his gift for describing the perfect steak and how to prepare it transformed my appetite to famished. Know that he and your family have touched so many lives in a positive way. So sorry for your loss, god bless you all during this difficult time. We send our deepest sympathy to the family of Ed Hipps. We know what a huge void is left now that he is in heaven. He was the glue that kept the family together. He never let a birthday or holiday go by without cooking for everyone or taking everyone out to celebrate. He loved his family and was "selfless" his entire life. He passionately taught all his children everything he knew about business and gave them all the tools to be successful. He was there for everyone through their toughest times and never gave up on anyone. He bought so many dinners for friends and business associates touching so many lives by his kindness and generosity. So sad to hear of Ed passing. He was a great friend and boss. I'm not sure I would be living the happy life I am living had it not been for him. He was instrumental in getting us together. He shared his family with me whom I also love. I am a better person for knowing him. God bless you all.

Peace, shalom to the entire Hipps family. Tina and I send along our deepest regrets to hear of Eddie's ascent to heaven. However, we take comfort in knowing we will be together again in Heaven…Praise God in the highest. We pray for a hedge of protection around the family during this time. May each one know that we/I hold my relationship with Eddie in the highest degree. That man instructed and guided me to be a better person/man. I owe a lot of my business success to Eddie.
