Claudia L. Hunt's Obituary
Claudia LaVera Hunt (McKee), 96, passed away in her home in Dallas January 31, 2016. She was born January 25, 1920 in Glen Flora, Texas to Ola Mae Kyle and George McKee. The two loves of Vera’s life were the Lord and her family. She was passionate about sharing and teaching God’s word. She was committed to her family and never tired of her role as Mother and Grandmother. She offered an ear to listen and gave wise counsel when it was needed. She was a true matriarch of the family. Vera also had a creative side. She was a talented artist and spent many hours expressing her art on canvas. She also had a knack with gardening and was especially fond of growing her roses. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Hunt and children Darlene Schneider, Ronald Hunt and Barbara Buckler. She is survived by her son-in-law Gary Buckler, grandchildren Cybele Smith and husband Dave, Brenna Rasmussen and husband Michael, Heather Hunt, Joe Cook and wife Catrina, Laura Amundson and husband Aaron and Lisa Hunt as well as 8 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends on Thursday, February 4, 2016 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held Friday, February 5, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Restland Memorial Park. A reception will follow immediately after the graveside at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
