Claudia Lipscomb's Obituary
She is survived by three sons: Jon David, of Dallas; Lee Anthony, of Duncan OK; and Louis Clay and wife, Kelly, of Dallas; and two grandchildren: Halee Reeves of Edmond OK, and Taylor Robinson, a freshman at Oklahoma State University. She was the only child of John W. and Rosalie Watts Irvine of Jackson, MS, who preceded her in death. She attended Provine High School in Jackson MS and was a member of the Class of 1965. She was married to Paul A. Lipscomb, a civil engineer, from 1965 to 1994. They lived in Seattle, Houston and Dallas. She was very involved with her sons many activities over the years. With David, who has Down’s Syndrome, she was involved for years with Special Olympics, Special Needs Class and Hand Bells Choir at Richardson First Baptist Church; his Special Schools including Angels, Inc., Notre Dame Special School, Lake Highlands High School and Garland Area Rehab Center. With Lee she was involved in Indian Guides, baseball, football, Lake Highlands High School and his children Halee and Taylor. With Clay she was involved in Indian Guides, baseball,football Arlington High School, UTA and celebrated his marriage to Kelly. In 1988 she began working with the Richardson Independent School District at Skyview Elementary School as a Computer Lab Technichian. She retired last May, 2019 after 30 years and enjoyed a very enthusiastic Retirement Party attended by many of her friends and coworkers from over the years. She looked forward to enjoying her family and friendships in retirement. Services will be held January 11, 2020 at 12:30 PM in Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243.
