Clay Christopher Scott Jr.'s Obituary
Clay Christopher Scott Jr., born May 10th 1928 in Dallas, TX to Clay Christopher Scott, Sr. and Allie Bonner Scott died peacefully on November 7th 2020. Clay attended Sunset High School graduating in 1946 before moving on to Texas A&M University, Class of 1950. Clay was a diehard Aggie through and through. WHOOP! He entered SMU Law School in 1951 and following a 2 year stint in the US Air Force graduated in 1957. Upon graduation, Clay was Assistant DA under Henry Wade for three years before entering into private practice for over 50 years.
He met the love of his life Jeanne Granberry on a blind date and they married September 7th, 1950. Together they raised three children Lee Ann, Chris and Susan. Clay and Jeanne loved to travel all over the world and spend time in Estes Park, CO and Port Aransas, TX with family and friends.
Clay is survived by his wife of 70 years Jeanne, children Lee Ann Mix (Chuck), Susan Stout (Wilson), his three granddaughters, Dr. Katherine Mix (Jason Spitzer), Theresa Mix, Ashley Stout Peterson (Evan) and two great grandchildren, Aiden Grace Spitzer and Porter Stout Peterson all of Dallas. Also surviving Clay are his brother and sister-in-law Richard and Mary Scott of Big Thompson, CO and his two nephews. He is predeceased by his parents and son, Clay Christopher Scott, III.
