I was one of three dorm roommates with Jim during our junior year at Rice. I remember Jim as described in his obit, especially the collecting. He kept a lovely antique music box in our room. Unusual for having 3 residents our room was a social and study area at the beginning of the residential college system at Rice. I am glad to hear of his interesting life.
