Clemont E. Wilkinson's Obituary
C. E. “Wilkie” Wilkinson passed from this life to his eternal home in Heaven on July 8, 2015. He was born February 19, 1923 to Charlie Wilkinson and Octavia Eaton Wilkinson. They precede him in death. He married Evelyn Ruth Wood on June 23, 1951. One son was born to that union, William E. “Bill” Wilkinson. Evelyn and Bill precede him in death. Mr. Wilkinson served in the USAF in World War II. After his retirement from American Home Products, he became a successful entrepreneur as a building contractor, and apartment owner/operator of properties in Dallas, Garland and Greenville, TX. He is survived by brother Donald Wilkinson, granddaughters, Andrea Hester (Andrew) and Ericka Thompson; great grandson, Brayden Thompson; brother in law, Bobby Wood (Connie); sister in law, LaRue Wood; caregiver, Becky Fuller; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and many special friends and business associates. Mr. Wilkinson was a member of Lake Pointe Church. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Restland Abbey Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service in the chapel. Officiating minister, Lyn Cypert. Pallbearers, John Woolems, Bruce Shoquist, Billy Wilkinson, Kyle Gibson, Steve Pardue, Randy Pardue. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
