Clifford Andrew Goostree Jr.'s Obituary
Goostree, Clifford Andrew, Jr. He was born December 4th, 1934 in McKinney, Tx. and passed away December 23rd, 2020 in Dallas, Tx.
He graduated from McKinney Boyd High School in 1952 and attended the University of North Texas at Denton briefly before entering the Army where he was instrumental in maintaining part of the North American early warning defense perimeter that later became NORAD. Upon the completion of active duty he returned to McKinney and to The University of North Texas at Denton where he completed his Bachelor's degree in 1960. He soon moved to Dallas where he began working at Lone Star Gas Co. He later worked for Garco life insurance, then for JC Penney Life Insurance as a Systems Analyst & team leader when that group separated from Garco. He continued to work at J.C. Penney Life Insurance until he retired.
He was preceded in death by his father Clifford Andrew Goostree, Sr., mother Rufie Caldwell Goostree, wife Genevieve Goostree, sister Elizabeth Goostree Kraeft, son Albert, and son in law John Castagna.
He is survived by daughters Jeanne Strangi Brown, Rosalie Gulig, son in law Michael Gulig, son John Strangi, son in law Greg Strangi, niece Ruth Kraeft Foster, great niece Brigit Foster Tran, along with many other great nieces and nephews, extended family, and many friends.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, January 8th, 2021 at 2P.M. at Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Tx. 75243 Ph: 469-925-1436, website: www.restlandfuneralhome.com
