Clinton Van Pelt's Obituary
died March 1, 2008 at the age of 85. He is survived by his wife, Lynne Van Pelt; his brothers, George and Herbert; his daughters, Rebecca Downs and Leslie Guzman; and his three grandchildren, Amber, Justin, and Shauna Downs. Born in Mayhew, Mississippi and raised in Sellersburg, Indiana and received his advanced aeronautical engineering degree at the University of Cincinnati. He was a lieutenant in the Navy during WWII and continued service in the Naval Reserves. He spent his career in aeronautical engineering and volunteered as a Republican precinct chairman. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Dallas. He was a man of moral strength, humility, and courage who was dedicated to his family. His wife, children and grandchildren will all miss him dearly.
