Clurin G. Martin's Obituary
Clurin G. (Coot) Martin, 100 years of age, was born November 12, 1915 in Morris County, Texas to John Tas Martin and Buena Godfrey Martin. He died in Dallas on May 9, 2016 following a short illness. Mr. Martin was married to Mary Talley Martin on October 1, 1936 in Morris County, Texas. Mrs. Martin survives him, after 79 ½ years of marriage. Mr. Martin was a long-time employee of General Dynamics and worked in Lone Star, Texas and at the Fort Worth facility. He was a self-taught engineer and worked on military aircraft circuits. Preceding him in death were his son, Billy Max Martin, one grandson, Stephen Mark Taylor, his parents, four brothers, and two sisters. Clurin Martin is survived by his son, Robert C. Martin and wife, Betty, of Dallas, and one daughter, Betty Martin Taylor and husband, Max, of Richardson, Texas. He is also survived by grandchildren Jeff Taylor and Amy Taylor Staton and husband, Rocky, of Richardson, Texas, Randy Martin and Kristi Martin of Dallas, Brad Martin and wife, Amy, of Golden, Colorado, Michael Martin of Rowlett, Texas, Kevin Martin of Plano, Texas and a granddaughter-in-law, Debbie Taylor of Irving, Texas. He has five great-grandchildren, Tate and Robert Martin of Golden, Colorado and Andrew, Ashley, and Adam Staton of Richardson, Texas. Several nieces and nephews survive him. Family will receive friends and family at Wildwood Chapel at Restland Dallas at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2016, with services at Wildwood Chapel at 12:30 p.m. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
