Clyde Seyburn Neal's Obituary
Clyde S. Neal was a loving son, brother, brother-in-law, and uncle. He was a kind and generous man. Although he was a quiet person, when he spoke, it was worthwhile and profound. His main hobby was body building and health fitness. Clyde’s favorite author was Stephen King and he enjoyed reading his books. The Washington Redskins was his favorite football team. Clyde was knowledgeable about political issues. And most of all, he loved his CORVETTE. On August 31, 1947, Clyde was born to Oscar Neal, Sr. and Avery Neal in Ashdown, Arkansas. At an early age, Clyde joined Craig Chapel AME Church. In 1966, Clyde enlisted in the United States Army. He spent over two years in Germany serving our country. After an honorable discharge, Clyde lived in California for several years before returning to Texas to begin his career with the U.S. Postal Service. He retired in 2016 with 39 years of service.He worked at the Plano Main Post Office, Custer Park, and the Coit Station. He was a hard, competent, and efficient worker. Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Avery Neal; brother, Charles Neal; and sister, Virginia Vaughn. Clyde will be forever loved and cherished by his brothers: Oscar (Sharon) Neal, Jr. of Grand Prairie, TX; Marshell (Melva) Neal of Arlington, TX; Mayon (Linda) Neal, Sr. of Dayton, OH; Donald (Jennifer) Neal of DeSoto, TX; and sisters: Sue Ary of Plano,TX; Thelma (Thomas) King of Reno, NV; and Cathy (Lonnie) Morris of Saratoga, AR and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Service for Clyde will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at 12:30 PM, in The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
