My condolences to you and your family. I cannot imagine how difficult this time must be for you, and I wanted to let you know how saddened I am to hear of Connor's passing. I remember how he had so much energy and a quick wit. He was always ready and willing to demonstrate anything in class and often ready to fire-off the right answer to any question. He was sharp as a tack! His passing is a loss to all of us at Murphy MS. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Conner was a joy to have in class. I looked forward to seeing him everyday last year. He always came in with a huge smile on his face, and was eager to help me in any way. I am so sorry for your loss. Please know you have my deepest sympathies, and of course your family is in my prayers.
I met Conner last Spring through Jake Hess. Conner and Jake, and several other MMS angels, loved to come and help get one of the classrooms at Murphy ready for the day. He was a great helper. Conner was a spunky and fun fellow. He loved to make people laugh. He also "refed" my daughter's soccer game in the Fall. I will miss Jake very much. I loved his smile, his humble way, and his love for people. I will pray for his faily and the many others that feel the loss of this wonderful young man.
I first met Conner several years ago when I was assistant den leader at Pack 2007. He was in my group at summer day camp. Ever since then, whether at a ballgame for his step-brother or at an event at Murphy Middle School, I'd hear this voice pipe up in a crowd: "Hi Mrs. Haer" and I knew I'd turn and see that dazzling smile. I see from all the emails that his smile will be remembered by everyone, but when it shone on you, you felt you were the only one to get that special grin. Thank you for sharing Conner with us. I got to know Conner in August before school started. He was a young man who showed a lot of growth in the last few months. His outgoing personlity and concern for others will be greatly missed.
His teachers and classmates will really miss Conner, his winning smile, and his tremendous sense of humor. He had wonderful insight and was an out-of-the-box thinker. I am truly sorry for your loss.
