Connie Joyce Alexander's Obituary
ALEXANDER, Connie Joyce Alexander (nee Jensen) passed away in Dallas, Texas, on October 23, 2015. She was 71 years old. Born in Miami Beach, Florida on August 24, 1944, Connie was the eldest daughter of Donald and Betty Lou Jensen, and the loving sister of Neal. When her mother remarried Michael Androsko, she became the big sister to Steve, Johnny, George, Margie and Alex. Upon moving to Los Angeles, California, Connie met and married David Alexander of Syracuse, New York. Connie attended Northeastern State University in Oklahoma. Upon receiving her Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education she then moved to Dallas, Texas in 1991, to pursue a teaching career with the Dallas Independent School District. After a number of years she transitioned her career to work within the Dallas Police Department. She was employed there for 15 years before retiring in 2010. Connie loved her family and was a dedicated mother. She is survived by her three children: Nancy Moreno (and husband Paul Moreno), of Dallas, Texas, Donna Alexander of Long Beach, California and Jeff Alexander of Yreka, California. She is the cherished grandmother of Marc, Alexander (Nancy), Jamie, Andrew (Jeff), and great grandmother as well. Connie had a kind and compassionate heart for others and especially for animals. Before she died, Connie was able to relish in the happiness at the birth of her grandchildren, 11 moth old twins Marc and Alexander. They made her laugh and filled her with happiness any time that she was around them. Connie’s family was her most cherished possession. She treasured the special times that they spent together, taking excursions around the country or around town. A service celebrating Connie Alexander’s life will be held Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at 3:00 PM at The Wildwood Chapel on the grounds of Restland Funeral Home, Dallas, Texas. A private viewing will be held prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
