Connie Asbury's Obituary
Connie Berry Asbury, affectionately called “Mimi”, passed on January 27, 2009. Born on October 15, 1919 in Eastland, Texas, her family moved to Borger and then to San Antonio. Connie attended Texas Women’s College, University of Oklahoma, and then continued studying art in San Antonio. While at OU she met the love of her life and husband of 68 years, Ralph Tipton Asbury. After they married, they lived in Baltimore, MD, Houston, TX, and made their permanent home in Dallas in 1962. Connie and her husband have been members of Lover’s Lane Methodist Church for over 40 years. Connie will be best remembered for her infinite love and devotion to her family as well as her guidance and encouragement. Her infectious sense of humor and love of life was enjoyed by everyone. Connie felt her greatest accomplishments were her beloved family and the love-filled home that she provided. Those whose lives were touched by “Mimi” are all better people for it, as her gift of love is immeasurable and will live on in each of us. She is survived by her husband, Ralph; her three sons, Ronald, Mike, and Steve and her daughter, Linda Miller; daughters-in-law, Patti, Lori, and Bridget; and son-in-law, Jim Miller; five grandchildren, Heidi, Nicole, Scott, Brittin, and Kelly; and four greatgrandchildren.
