Connie Beth Weese Toney's Obituary
Connie Toney was born on January 10, 1933 in Granite, Oklahoma to Floyd T. (Bill) and Edith Weese and passed away on November 23, 2017. Her father worked for the Rural Electrification Administration and the family moved often. By age 15, Connie and her younger brother Lonnie had attended 17 schools when they settled in Mangum Oklahoma. She was involved in band and choir and was salutatorian of her class. After graduation she worked for Phillips Petroleum in Borger, Texas where she met James B. Toney. They married in 1955 and moved to Okmulgee, Oklahoma and eventually to Richardson, Texas in 1962. Connie worked as a bookkeeper for Howard Wolf Dress Manufacturer and AMIGOS Bibliographic Council. In retirement, Connie was active at First United Methodist Church as a greeter and volunteer. She also served as a volunteer for the Richardson Public Library Friends of the Library program and acted as its’ President. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, James B Toney. Connie is survived by her brother, Lonnie, three children, Tonya, Todd and Tamra, seven grandchildren, Desiree, Deidre, Sydney, Darby, Demi, Caden, and Camdyn and one great grandchild, Kailani. Visitation will be Friday, December 1, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Restland Wildwood Chapel.
